Lawson's Landing is a privately run campground and recreation area at the mouth of Tomales Bay. Visitors use it for camping, beach access, boating and clamming. Check the operator's site before travel: access, reservations and activity rules can change.
Camping and day use
Lawson's camping page lists tent and RV sites, showers, flush toilets in part of the campground, and some powered sites. Dogs are allowed on leash. Fire rings are provided; ask staff about current fire restrictions before lighting one. Day-use parking is available for beach visits and boating; reserve or confirm access with Lawson's.
Clamming and crabbing
Lawson's clamming guide says exposed flats require a low tide. Before harvesting, read the current California fishing regulations for licenses, limits, gear and any closure. Check California public-health shellfish advisories before eating recreationally gathered shellfish. The same regulation check applies to crab; seasons and gear rules change.
Choosing a bed
Camp at Lawson's if waking beside the bay is the point of the trip. If you want a small vacation home after a muddy day, Sea Esta sleeps up to four and has two bathrooms. It does not accept pets. See Sea Esta's live availability; rates vary by season. The portal stay guide compares the other Dillon Beach options.
